In My Mailbox (5)

(Thanks always to The Story Siren for coming up with such a great meme!)

Okay, so maybe I went Borders-crazy. It's entirely possible I had such a huge case of full-blown Borders-fever that it will probably take two posts to share my haul with you (and at least one new bookcase to hold them all.)

With no further ado (or maybe a smidge of ado) here we go...

Borders-mania:
Splendor: A Luxe Novel (The Luxe)In Zanesville: A NovelIf You Were Here: A Novel22 Britannia Road: A NovelVaclav & Lena: A NovelChosen: A NovelThe HeightsGone (Wake)The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb: A NovelLucy (Vintage)Ten Thousand Saints: A NovelImperial BedroomsEmbassytownBroken Promises: A Novel of the Civil WarThe Moonflower Vine: A Novel (P.S.)

RIP Borders, my heart is sad at your demise, but my wallet is elated. I'm not going to lie to you, this is really just half of the books I bought!

More to come...

  4. I really want to start Anna Godberson's first series. You received some great books! I would go crazy as well if my bookstore was closing. Great variety of books.

  5. I'm so sad that Borders is closing, but I love my haul. Can I please tell you that I went to not one, not two, but THREE different Borders stores last Sunday (I'm a hot mess :)). I'm going to share more of my stash next week for IMM.

    Thanks for visiting!

  7. As much as I hate it because it means Borders is closing, I've had a few good shopping sprees at Borders myself. In fact I picked up both Mrs. Tom Thumb and Broken Promises there recently too!

  10. I couldn't be in a Border's, or any book store's closing sale, and remain sane. ;)

  11. Is it bad that I'm so jealous that there wasn't a Borders in my city, just because they were closing and having a liquidation sale?

You got quite a lot of cool books there. I really want to read Mrs. Tom Thumb and I'm definitely a China Mieville fan!

Thanks for visiting my blog and I'm glad to be following you back!

  12. I want to read Gone too! I've read Wake and Fade but I still haven't got Gone yet. I actually ordered hourglass online and took me ages to finally have it! Many positive reviews on that book makes me so curious! Well, enjoy reading and thanks for commmenting on my IMM :)

  13. Awesome IMM! I'm also sad that Borders is closing, but when you can get that many books for not a lot I can't help not being a little excited :) Enjoy!
