In My Mailbox (11)

This meme is hosted by The Story Siren and you should head over there straightaway to check out what's hot in books right now.

I had another fun week of book finds and am now on house arrest to finish all of these wonderful novels! So, on to the goods...

Library (I love you so!):

My buddy Kat texted me and told me I was a fool if I didn't drop everything and read Birthmarked, stat! She is amazing and brilliant so I took her advice and am all over it. I've been wanting to read Before I Fall and Fire forever! I loved Oliver's Delirium and Cashore's Graceling and am really looking forward to reading more from them.

I finished Uglies last week in a fraction of a day and loved it! So, naturally, I had to put a hold on the rest of the series and amazingly enough, they all came in this week. I smell a read-a-thon in my future...

Nook:

My blog buddy, Heather, from Book Stacks on Deck had this in her IMM last week. She and I are both zombie fans and I immediately put it on my wishlist.

While shopping on my Nook, I saw that they had Zombies Don't Cry for free, so I snatched it up before they could change their mind! Can't wait to read it!

ARC's (thanks to Netgalley):

How great is Netgalley?! I've read some pretty good reviews already about these books. I'm really excited to dig into Slide and Starters, and I am loving all of these beautiful covers!

ARC (thanks to Stephen Gallagher and Crown Publishers):

The author of The Kingdom of Bones returns with a beautifully written literary thriller featuring madmen who see monsters and monsters who hide in plain sight--a powerful story of class, family, and insanity.

Investigating a wealthy landowner whose sanity has come into question, Sebastian Becker stumbles on a murder case involving two young girls, a traumatized suffragette and monsters who hide in plain sight.

Another cool cover! This was such a great surprise when it came in and I've already started digging in. I haven't read a good mystery in a long time. Early reviews on Goodreads are spectacular, so I'm sure I won't be disappointed!

That's it for this week, peeps! I can't wait to peek at what was in your mailboxes this week! Be sure to stop by The Story Siren to see more buzzed about books and share a few of your own!

  6. Before I Fall is one of my favorites and I love Kristen Cashore. I haven't read the Uglies series yet (I know! I know!) but I do love Scott Westerfeld. New Girl is on my want list - I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts about it.
